Abstract
1,013,634. Cable clamps. J. STONE & CO. (DEPTFORD) Ltd. Nov. 20, 1963, No. 45863/63. Heading H2C. [Also in Division E2] A dead-end connection of a cable comprises a wedge-shaped member 2 having a tapered groove 12 in which the cable is locked by means of a ring 16 positioned over the narrow end of the member 2 and the two limbs of the cable, the limb 18, which is the tail end of the cable, being bent back to hold the ring 16 in position. The member 2 may be made of insulating material, and instead of ring 16, which defines an elon. gated opening, a U-clamp and bridge-piece may be used. The connector is connected to a support by links 8 and 10 which are attached to the member 2 by a pin 6 which passes through hole 4.
