Abstract
1,012,081. Printing surfaces. PLAMAG PLAUENER DRUCKMASCHINENWERK. June 8, 1964, No. 23581/64. Heading B6C. The ends of a flexible printing plate 2 are clamped to a cylinder 1 by means of two clamping spindles 7, 8 each accommodating a block 11 pressed outwardly by springs 12 so as to clamp the plate-end between surfaces 17, 18 on the block and spindle respectively, the block having a part 15 at each end engaging a cam surface 16 on the cylinder whereby rotation of the spindle can effect release of the clamp. Each block has cut-away parts to accommodate guide members 14 fixed to its spindle and to provide lugs 19 engaging inclined surfaces on the members 14 to hold an inclined surface on the block against an inclined surface 13 of the spindle. Each plate end is provided with a corrugation 5 engaged by the inner end of a block 11.
