Abstract

1,010,208. Discharge lamp circuits. M. L. AVIATION CO. Ltd. May 2, 1963 [May 22, 1962], No. 19670/62. Heading H2H. To amid using fragile filement indicator lamps on low voltage D.C. circuits, a lamp unit comprises a semi-conductor inverter to step the voltage up to suit a gas discharge lamp or down to power an extra low voltage thick filament lamp. The inverter is mounted in a housing 25 which may or may not also house the output transformer. The output may alternatively be rectified. The inverter may be connected to a coincidence circuit so that it is blocked if several input conditions are not satisfied.
