Abstract

1,010,244. Electric motor brushgear. T. MABUCHI. Oct. 28, 1963 [Nov. 7, 1962], No. 42339/63. Heading H2A. A miniature electric motor contains within an end part 2 of its casing a brush holding assembly comprising two oppositely facing strips 6 each having an arcuate end 7 detachably pivoting against a seating surface 5 on a terminal post 3 and resiliently biased to urge a brush 8 carried at its other end towards the motor commutator 15 by a respective leaf spring 10 having one end located by a cornerforming part 16 of the casing end part and the other bearing against the strip 6 between its pivotal mounting and the brush. The spring other end is in notched engagement with the strip 6, and intermediate its ends the spring bears against a casing cover buttress 13.
