Liquid is displaced from a tank 14 by air pressure created in a tank 11 by introducing liquid into the tank 11. In a further embodiment liquid is displaced from either of two tanks by air pressure created by introducing liquid into the other tank. The liquid in the tank 14 may be radio active liquid and that side of the apparatus is protected by a screen 3.
