Abstract

1,008,534. Rotary towers. L. G. FAERBER. Nov. 16, 1961 [Nov. 19, 1960, Aug. 8, 1961], No. 41084/61. Heading E1A. An observation tower has superposed annular building including floors 6 rotatable about a central column 1 which are supported by platforms 4 integral with the column and corbelled out therefrom. The floors are supported at inner and outer peripheries as by wheels 7. The rooms are accessible through openings 2 from a lift in the column 1. In alternative ways of supporting the floors they may run directly on the platforms or on rings at the peripheries. Oil grooves may then be provided and the contacting surfaces of the floors and supports may be below the level of the lubricant.
