Abstract

1,008,353. Packages. TETRA A.B. Jan. 14, 1964 [Jan. 16, 1963], No. 1624/64. Heading B8C. A package of flexible material, e.g. a material coated with thermoplastic, which is formed from a filled tube sealed and cut at intervals, is provided with an end operable to form a pouring spout 10, Fig. 4. A flap 4 sealed by a tape to the side wall 1 of the package is raised, enabling part of a sealing fin 3 to be removed by tearing along perforations 8, 7. Crease lines 5 formed in the end wall 2 of the package enable panel 11 to be pivoted upwards, thereby opening the spout. After use the spout may be folded and retained in a notch, formed along a line of perforations in the fin 3, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). The coating on the packaging material may be polyethylene wax or lacquer.
