[Also in Division B5] A pressing machine pad 13 having a plurality of holes therein is formed by foaming a silicone rubber or like heat resistant material in a closed mould 10, 11 so as to produce a steam-resistant skin 14 over all the surfaces of the pad including the inside surfaces of the holes. The pad may have a chamfered edge or a stepped edge.
