Abstract

1,006,488. Roofing; rooflights. ARCON (PROPRIETARY) Ltd. July 2, 1963 [July 2, 1962], No. 25234/62. Headings E1J and E1V. Roofing comprises hollow truncated pyramidlike mounting frames 9 with capping pieces 10a-10d, the frames being supported directly, (Figs. 5-7, not shown), or via channel-sectioned members 4-7, on roof joists 3. Capping pieces 10a and 10b may be translucent, opaque or glazed, 10c has a translucent or glazed face 15, and an opaque opposite face, and 10d has a translucent or glazed lower pyramid-like portion, with external sun louvres 17 arranged across two faces thereof. The capping pieces may be provided with opening lights, and may be hinged to the mounting frames.
