Abstract

A palladium-silver alloy metallizing composition suitable for use in the formation of capacitor electrodes comprises 30-60% by weight of a palladium-silver alloy powder containing 5-40% of silver and 95-60% of palladium dispersed in 70-40% of an inert vehicle. The alloy preferably has a particle size in the range 0.1-0.5 microns and should not exceeds 5 microns; it may be prepared by the method of Specification 1,004,652. Suitable vehicles include alcohols, esters, pine oil or alpha-terpineol and they may contain waxes or resins; in an example, a solution of ethyl cellulose in butoxyethl acetate is used. Specification 596, 791 also is referred to.ALSO:A palladium-silver alloy comprises powder containing 5-40% of silver and 95-60% of palladium. The alloy preferably has a particle size in the range of 0.1-0.5 microns and should not exceed 5 microns; it may be prepared by the method of Specification 1,004,652.
