Abstract
The invention comprises a method of selectively controlling weeds in beet cultivation which comprises applying to said beet cultivation, either before or after emergence of the weeds and beet, 1-methyl-3-(2-benzothiazolyl)-urea of formula <FORM:1004469/A5-A6/1> alone or in admixture with a solid or liquid diluent or carrier. When applied as a composition, formulations specified are emulsifiable concentrates, spray powders, pastes, soluble powders, dusts and granules.
