Abstract
The invention comprises 1-methyl-N-carbobenzoxy - dihydrolysergamine, its non - toxic acid addition salts, and its preparation by reaction of 1-methyl-dihydrolysergamine with carbobenzoxy chloride in the presence of a tertiary amine. The compounds of the invention have anticephalea, antiallergic and anti-inflammatory properties and may be used in pharmaceutical compositions in combination with a carrier, for example in forms suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration, such as tablets, powders, pills, capsules or elixirs.
