Abstract

1,003,904. Stacking containers. K. DAHMEN. July 16, 1962 [Sept. 2, 1961; Dec. 15, 1961], No. 27176/62. Heading B8P. A container of flexible material comprises arcuate beads 6 at the comers to facilitate resting of empty containers by allowing expansion of the container, similarly to allow an inverted container to be placed over a similar container to form a closed box. Beads 7 may be produced between the side walls and base similar in cross-section to the beads 6 to produce a trough-like bottom closure. The beads between the side walls may project outwardly and be of W formation or triangular formation or may be recessed inwardly of the box. In a further embodiment (Fig. 8) projections 15 are provided to assist stacking.
