A laminate suitable for lining walls and ceilings comprises a central layer of foamed plastics material, e.g. polystyrene, a covering layer of fibrous sheet on each side thereof, and on one or both sides of the central layer a coating of gypsum or fibrous plaster between the central layer and the fibrous sheet, the latter being made from stout paper, cardboard, fibreboard, strawboard or similar material.
