Abstract
In a method of hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feedstock to produce lower boiling hydrocarbons in the gasoline range, the feedstock at 450-850 DEG F. and 800-3000 p.s.i.g. is treated with hydrogen in the presence of an at least partially decationized crystalline, zeolitic, aluminosilicate molecular sieve having SiO2/Al2O3 mole ratio greater than about 3 and a relatively uniform crystal pore diameter between 6 and 14 <\>rA, and intimately associated therewith a minor proportion of a transition metal hydrogenating promoter selected from Group VI<\>rA or VIII of the Periodic Table. Oils cracked are straight run gas oils, heavy naphthas, coke distillate gas oils, deasphalted crude oils and cycle oils derived from catalytic or thermal cracking.
