1,001,640. Delivering measured quantities of fluent material. FR. HESSER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. Aug. 22, 1963 [Sept. 21, 1962], No. 33227/63. Heading B8N. [Also in Division G1] An automatic feed weigher has cell-wheels 15, 25 to provide a dribble feed to weigh containers 10, 20 respectively. The wheel 15 has a number of cells 16 and is rotated by a motor 19 under the control of a weigher 11 so that it collects and volumetrically measures small quantities of material from a dribble feed supply pipe 9 and dispenses one measured quantity at a time in the weigh container 10. The wheel 25 is similar in operation and construction to the wheel 15, but the cells therein are smaller so that it provides a finer dribble feed, and finer limits of accuracy in the weighing out operation are thereby obtained.
