Abstract
1,099,694. Sun visors for vehicles. GEBR. HAPPICH G.m.b.H. April 2, 1965 [April 23, 1964; Feb. 4, 1965], No. 14090/65. Heading B7J. A sun visor for vehicles comprises a plastics sheath surrounding a padded body and means for attaching articles to the visor, said means including the padded body and/or sheath. In an embodiment, Fig. 2, the means includes a pocket comprising an outer wall 3 of transparent plastics, patent leather, or woven fabric, welded to a front sheath piece of sheet plastics which is then welded to a rear sheath piece to enclose the body In another embodiment, the outer wall extends from top to bottom of the visor, the outer wall and the first and second pieces forming the sheath being welded together simultaneously. In a further embodiment, two parking discs are inserted between the padded body and the sheath. In yet another embodiment, a parking disc is rotatably mounted in a rectangular card which is mounted by its corners in the sheath. In yet a further embodiment an elasticated pouch for a parking disc is fitted over an existing sun visor. In still another embodiment, a pouch is fitted over the visor and is secured by press fasteners. In still a further embodiment, a holder strip is wrapped round the visor and secured to itself by press fasteners or by rubber bands extending part way round. In a further embodiment, a sleeve compresses the padded body. In another embodiment, a sleeve is held in place by two rubber bands 22.
