Abstract
1,099,254. Bath lifting apparatus. ELECTROLUX A.B. June 2, 1966 [June 16, 1965], No. 24567/66. Heading A4N. An apparatus for lifting and lowering a bath tub by hydraulic means comprises two hydraulic lifters arranged at the short sides of the tub. An apparatus in accordance with the invention (see Fig. 1) is used with a tub 10 which is accessible from all sides, and at the head of the bath in a cylinder 13 placed on a ground plate a piston 17 operates, the upper part of the piston being supported in an inverted U-beam 18 attached below the short side 11 of the bath. At the foot of the bath a lifting arrangement is held in column 20 wherein there are two shelves for bearings journalling a shaft 25 which carries a lever attached to the shaft by a bushing. Below the lever is a cylinder with a piston rod and this hydraulic lifting means is suspended at its lower end on a shaft and at its upper end is connected by a pivot to the lever so that a link connection is obtained which is variable in length. On the shaft 25, lifting arms 33, 34 are fixed outside the housing 32. At the free ends of these arms axially aligned pins 36 (and 35 not shown) are directed towards each other which engage under a lifting yoke 37 placed under the flange of the bath at the short side 38 at the foot end. From the pump, a conduit (not shown) for pressure liquid passes down through the column and the floor to the hydraulic lifting means 12 at the other end of the tub.
