Abstract
1,099,140. Controlling I. C. engines. CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO. Sept. 26, 1966 [Oct. 19, 1965], No. 42785/66. Headings F1B and F1Q. Two engines are controlled from either one of two remotely-positioned valves 18, 18' which admit pressure fluid to cylinders 14, 14' through a shuttle valve 23. Actuation of either valve 18, 18' causes ball 24 to close the duct from the other valve. Spring-loaded pistons 14, 14' act through levers 12, 12' to adjust the setting of the engine speed governors 11, 11'. In a modification hydraulic accumulators 28, 28' may be arranged upstream of the valves 18, 18'.
