Abstract

1,098,618. Fusible cut-outs. ESSEX WIRE CORPORATION. July 9, 1965 [Oct. 19, 1964], No. 29264/65. Heading H2G. A fusible element 18 is integrally formed with two annuli 10, 14 arranged on a post 2 and held compressed together with insulating members 30, 34, a contact plate 20 and a mounting bracket 38, between flanged ends 6, 8 of the post. The insulating members project between the post 20 and the annulus 14 and terminal plate 20 so that the circuit extends from the post 2, through the annuli 10 and 14 with the fusible portion 18 between them, to the terminal plate 20. The annulus 14 may have lugs to locate it at a predetermined angle to the plate 20 and the latter may have an aperture in an extension by which a connection may be made to it.
