Abstract

Styrene polymers, e.g. polystyrene, are mass coloured using a yellow dye of formula <FORM:1096488/C3/1> In an example 0.05% of the dye was kneaded with polystyrene at 200-280 DEG C., the composition was then cooled, ground in a mill to a particle size of 2-4 mm., and processed in an injection moulding machine at 220-300 DEG C. to give yellow mouldings.
