Abstract

1,095,554. Bobbin support. THERMIGUIDES S.A. and P. C. EPPENDAHL. Feb. 17, 1965 [Feb. 18, 1964], No. 6869/65. Heading D1J. A bobbin support is pivotally supported about axis 1, there being means to lock the support in a raised position when it is lifted away from a bobbin driving drum 5, the locking means being automatically released by further pivoting of the support in the same direction. A locking ring 7 is secured to shaft 1 and has an axially extending groove (11) in its circumference into which a spring pressed locking pin mounted in body 2 fits. Groove (11) has a chamfered edge to allow the locking pin to slide out of the groove when the further pivoting takes place, while one end of a split ring 14 slidably positioned in a circumferentially extending groove in ring 7 is moved into groove 11 to mask it so as to prevent the locking pin falling therein on the return pivoting on the support. The split ring is moved into and out of the masking position by a pin mounted on body 2. Vibration damping mechanism 20-22 is provided.
