Abstract
Continuously cast billets of alloys containing in percentage by weight <TABS:1095034/C6-C7/1> are homogenized at 500 DEG - 590 DEG C. and then cooled at not more than 50 DEG C./hour prior to working. The cooling may be controlled down to 250 DEG C., or such cooling may be terminated at 300 DEG - 450 DEG C. followed by accelerated cooling, when enhanced mechanical properties are obtained.
