Abstract
109,432. Viersen, J. H. van, and Slot & Zwijnenberg. Sept. 2, 1916, [Convention date]. Couplings.-Wires, particularly electric wires, are connected by the herein described soldered joint which may be insulated. The bared wires are passed through holes in the bottom of a metal cup A, Fig. 1, and a.re twisted together and cut to length. Solder paste is introduced preferably by means of a cup B slipped over the cup A. After heating, preferably by means of the soldering-iron described in Specification 109,431, [Class 83 (iv), Metals, Working], the cup mav be covered while still hot with an insulating compound such as that known as Chatterton and fitted with a fibre, porcelain or like cup C.
