Abstract
A polymer of an olefin has incorporated therein, to inhibit copper effect, an hydroxy-substituted benzoylhydrazide of formula <FORM:1093383/C3/1> wherein R, R1 and R11 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, and n is 1 to 3. Preferred additives are gentisylhydrazide, salicylhydrazide and 5-t-butyl - 2 - hydroxy - benzoylhydrazide. Optionally an antioxidant may be present and specified are various amines, phenolic compounds and thioesters.
