Abstract
1,092,974. Ozonizers. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES EAUX. March 2, 1966 [July 7, 1965], No. 9054/66. Heading H5H. An ozonizer comprises a tube 10 of insulating material coated on the inside with a metal layer, e.g. A1 (14), Fig. 2 (not shown), and having a conical end 13, an outer metal sleeve 7 with divergent ends, means for passing air to be ozonized through the space 17 between the sleeve and the tube and H.T. windings of a transformer connected between the metal layer and the sleeve. As shown a plurality of sleeves are mounted in a casing 1 and are water cooled. Two glass tubes are mounted in each sleeve by synthetic rubber centring rings 15, having lugs 16. The secondary H.T. winding 18 of a leakage flux transformer 19 is connected to each of the metal layers by bushes 27 and to the sleeves via the casing which is earthed. The sleeves may each contain only one tube 10.
