Abstract

1,092,851. Coin freed article-delivery apparatus. AUTOMATIC CANTEEN CO. OF AMERICA. Jan. 20, 1965 [April 21, 1964], No. 2481/65. Headings G4V and G4X. A monetary change-dispensing apparatus in which coin credit registration is effected by photo-electric cells passing impulses to a rotary stepper, also registers with opposite rotation the value of the article sold or the change given. This change is dispensed from storage tubes for coins of different values, the least number of storage tubes in ascending order of value being actuated to give the required change. A timing motor, initially actuated by the insertion of a coin, brings sequentially into operation the circuits for registration, vending, subtraction and pay-out. The customer operates selector switches to obtain the article desired, or a " coin return lever " to obtain change only.
