Abstract

1,091,233. Wire crates. MID-WEST METALLIC PRODUCTS Inc. May 16, 1966 [June 24, 1965], No. 21638/66. Heading B8P. Wire crates are stackable and nestable in vertical columns with the crates all facing the same way, upper and lower stacking support points 16, 11b<SP>1</SP> in vertical alignment being rigidly attached to the sides of each crate, stacking being by resting support points 11b of one container on support points 16 of the one below, nesting being achieved from the stacking position by moving the upper container laterally (to the left as shown) to disengage support points 11b<SP>1</SP> and 16 enabling the containers to slide together into the nesting position, the top edge 10a of one wall being lower to enable the edge 14a to enter the container below. The support points (upper or lower) may be distributed either two per side (as shown) or one per side towards the front (left-hand side) with one centrally placed at the back.
