Abstract

1,090,100. Compound forced flow steam or hot water boilers. LA MONT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION Ltd. Aug. 4, 1966, No. 34965/66. Heading F4A. A forced circulation steam or hot water boiler, comprises a radiant furnace 1 surrounded by a water cooled cylindrical shell 2. From the front of the furnace the combustion gases on their way to outlet duct 6 pass through convection passes 5 housing sinuous water tubes 4 which connect to the front of shell 2. A pump 7 circulates water firstly through the shell 2 in which the flow is directed by baffles 9, and then through the tubes 4 to outlet header 10 to pass to the point of use, or in the case of a steam generator (not shown) to a steam and water drum from which the separated water is returned to the boiler.
