Abstract

1,090,042. Contacting gases with liquids. BAHCO A.B. March 16, 1965 [March 17, 1964], No. 11203/65. Heading B1R. In an apparatus for contacting a gas with a liquid the gas is directed through an inlet tube 6 onto the surface of a body of liquid in a vessel 1 the inlet tube being surrounded by a tube 4 which tapes inwardly at its upper end, the mixture of gas and liquid formed passing through the annular gap between tubes 4 and 6 to strike a baffle 9. Gas is discharged at 11. Incoming gas may be passed in parallel through a number of inlet tubes such as 6 each surrounded by a tube 4.
