Abstract

1,089,655. Hydraulic grab-buckets. AUXITRA. Feb. 28, 1966 [March 1, 1965], No. 8790/66. Heading B8H. In a hydraulically operated grab-bucket the two shells 1 are opened by links 18 connected to a piston-rod 17 and are pivoted about pins 2 to a frame 3 which is mounted on the lower end of a cylinder 4 in such a way that it can rotate about the longitudinal axis of the cylinder. The piston-rod slides through a sleeve 9 provided with an anti-friction liner. The sleeve 9 has a bearing flange over which fit two halfrings which are bolted to a ring 14 attached to the support 3. This arrangement allows the rotation of the support 3. Alternatively, the lines 18 may be rotatably connected to the lower end of the cylinder 4 and the frame 3 to the piston-rod 17.
