Abstract

1,089,238. Spectacles. NON-SLIP TEMPLE CO. Inc. Feb.28, 1966 [March 10, 1965; May 7, 1965], No. 8677/66. Heading G2J. [Also in Division H4] A spectacle side arm of adjustable length comprises front and rear sections, the front section having an axially extending recess with a continuously encircling cross-section, such as by forming it as a tube of oval shape, for slidably receiving the rear section which has a longitudinal slit 30, Fig. 2, to divide it into upper and lower resilient arms 31, 32, and detents 34, 35, for biting into the walls of the recess to retain the sections together. As shown applied to hearing aid spectacles, the rear section has a bore 44 terminating in a tapered part which is slit longitudinally at 46a so that it may be clamped by a tapered screw threaded sleeve against the sound tube 40 attached to a hearing aid case 18.
