Abstract
1,086,762. Photographic print-out materials. HORIZONS Inc. March 15, 1966 [April 2, 1965], No.11404/66. Heading G2C. A photographic print-out material comprises a leuco derivative of a dye, an activator, and a triazyl compound of Sb, As, Bi or P which fixes, on heating, the visible image obtained by exposure. Specified leuco compounds are those derived from triphenylmethane dyes, xanthene dyes, and anthracene dyes. Suitable activators are sulphonyl and sulphenyl halides, ketones, aldehydes, esters, carboxylic acids and anhydrides, other carbonyl compounds, triazoles, heterocyclic ketimides and organo-halogen compounds. In the Examples, the materials are dispersed in polystyrene and coated on a polyvinyl alcohol sealed baryta paper.
