Abstract

1,086,363. Injection moulding machines. E. STOKIS. Oct. 5, 1964 [Oct. 5, 1963], No. 40598/64. Heading B5A. A non-return valve 6 slidable in a bore 4 in the inlet 2 to a mould 1 is in the position shown while plastics material is being injected through a nozzle 10, the flow of material taking place between ribs 8 on the body of the valve. When the mould is full, pressure on the head 7 of the valve moves it to the position seen in Fig. 1 (not shown) wherein the inlet is cut off. In Fig. 4 (not shown) the valve is used in the sole element (15) of a mould for making shoes, the mould assembly including hinged portions (12), (13) and an articulated upper element (14).
