1,085,742. Preventing lateral canting. TECHNOIMPEX MAGYAR GEPIPARI KULKERESKEDELMI VALLALAT. Feb. 25, 1966 [Feb. 25, 1965], No. 8441/66. Heading B7D. An agricultural tractor, motor vehicle or trailer comprises endless-tracks or wheels 81 suspended from the vehicle body 1 on a bridge member 3 and a parallel guide member 4 which are connected to members 61, 63 carrying the wheels 81 by horizontal pivots 31, 41, and to the body 1 by horizontal pivots 21 and by adjusting means for maintaining the body 1 upright on slopes. The adjusting means shown comprises hydraulic rams 13, 14, or a single double-acting ram, to which oil is supplied through an electromagnetic valve controlled by an hydraulically or mechanically damped pendulum or mercury switch. The wheels 81 are driven by shafts 91, 92 and steered on king-pins 62 by linkage connected by ball-joints 74, 75, 76 to arms projecting from the wheel hubs 71, 72. Further wheels similarly suspended from the body 1 conform automatically to the ground slope and no adjusting means is provided therefor. The bridge member 3 may be formed as a spring element to provide a resilient suspension.
