Abstract
1,084,585. Thermal switches. AMF ELECTRICA S.p.A. June 1, 1965 [June 8, 1964], No. 23362/65. Heading H2B. A manually-reset switch has a bi-metal snapacting disc 9 carried by a body 6 which also carries fixed contacts 16, 17 co-operating with contacts 10, 11 on the disc. The body is loosely mounted in a housing 1, the lower end of which is arranged for attachment to apparatus to be protected. A spring 25 normally biases the body 6 upwards, but the latter can be depressed to bring the disc 9 into engagement with resetting abutments 3 when the contacts have opened. The body 6 has a cap 22 with abutments 24 engaging shoulders 5 on the housing 1 so as to limit outward movement of the body 6.
