A sledge comprises a one-piece plastics moulding having a toric circumferential stiffener 8 and two wings 7 which are formed with movable flaps 11 to which an operating handle 13 and a toothed steering and braking member are secured. The flaps 11 may be formed by three side cuts 10 or by separate resiliently or pivotally mounted flaps.
