1,082,556. Hair curler. GEORGE E. TAYLOR & CO. Ltd. June 27, 1966 [July 5, 1965], No. 28366/65. Heading A4V. A hair curler which is generally cylindrical comprises an external tube having ribs, spikes or other projections, and a tubular inner heat-retaining body consisting of a thermoplastic material loaded with a heat-retaining substance in the form of powder, fibres or flakes. The heat-retaining substance is preferably glass, metal or asbestos used in amounts of 20 to 50% of the thermoplastic, which is suitably nylon.
