Abstract

1,080,877. Electric selective signalling. ADVANCE ELECTRONICS Ltd. Oct. 16, 1964 [Oct. 29, 1963], No. 42604/63. Heading G4H. In a frequency measuring apparatus the unknown input is mixed, at 13, 14 with the nth harmonics from two oscillators 10, 11 to yield I.F.'s which are (amplified at 15, 16 and phase compared 17, 18 with a standard frequency, derived from a generator in counter 12, to give outputs which control the phase locking of the associated oscillators 10, 11 and are also connected alternately to a phase lock indicator 19. The output of oscillator 10 tuned to the lower locked frequency is applied to the counter 12 and the outputs of the oscillators 10, 11 are applied to a mixer 21 and frequency halver 22 to providea further input <SP>10</SP>/ n tothe counter 12 which extends its counting time to count the fundamental frequency of oscillator 10. In order to register a correct count of the input signal a spurious pulse is generated by the counter 12 and added to its tens stage.
