Abstract
A dry, powder fire-extinguishant consists of powdered ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (NH4H2PO4) and 0.5 to 20% by weight of flowimprovers, e.g. dusting agents such as talc, mica, keiselguhr, ZnO, MgO; waterproofing agents such as metallic soaps, waxes, silicones, chlorinated silanes; and moisture absorbents such as tricalcium phosphate and calcium hydroxy-phosphate. Dibutyl tin laurate may also be included.
