Abstract

1,075,301. Cable clips. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Feb. 10, 1965 [Feb. 12, 1964], No. 5893/64. Heading H2C. [Also in Division E2] A one-piece resilient synthetic plastics fastener 10 for attaching a rod or cable to an apertured support, comprises a shank 11 for snap-engagement through the aperture and the support, a head comprising a flexible annular flange 12 which surrounds the shank and which on the other side of the flange to the shank has means for retaining a rod or cable the flange being, flared outwardly and away from the retaining means, so as to surround and overlie a portion of the shank adjacent the head. As shown, in which the shank is split into four legs 18 and is formed with a neck 15, the retaining means is formed as a loop 13. In other arrangements, Figs. 2-7 (not shown), the retaining means is in the form of single or double loops which co-operate with a top surface of the flange or with the support, to retain the rods or cables. In the arrangement according to Fig. 8 (not shown) the free end of an open loop is provided with a lug for engagement with a projection upstanding from the flange whereby to close the loop around the rod or cable. In all arrangements, the underside of the flange is slightly dished.
