Abstract

1,073,771. Mowing machines; hedge-cutters. WILKINSON SWORD Ltd. April 17, 1964 [Jan. 19, 1963], No. 2447/63. Headings A1E and A1F. A vegetation-cutter comprises a wheeled chassis 13, a cutting mechanism 10 powered by a motor 11 being mounted on the chassis and being readily removable therefrom for manual support, e.g. for hedge-cutting (Fig. 3). The motor is electric and is powered by battery 12 carried by the chassis. Folding handles 15 are attached to the motor and these may be used to support the cutter in a vertical position (Fig. 4) for cutting hedge-sides, by attachment to a bracket 17 on the chassis.
