Abstract
Monoazo water-insoluble dyes of general formula <FORM:1071473/C4-C5/1> in which R is a cycloaliphatic radical or an aliphatic radical having 1-6 carbon atoms particularly an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl radical, X1 is a chlorine or bromine atom, X2 is a hydrogen or chlorine or bromine atom, Y is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or alkoxy group of one to four carbon atoms, Z is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or alkoxy group having one to four carbon atoms, a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group or an acylamino group having one to four carbon atoms, and R1 and R2 are unsubstituted or substituted alkyl groups (provided they are not both cyano ethyl groups), are prepared by diazotizing and coupling a compound of Formula II with a coupling compound of Formula III <FORM:1071473/C4-C5/2> The dyes provide yellow-orange shades in acetate, polyester, polyamide and polyurethane materials.ALSO:Cellulose di- and tri-acetate, polyesters, polyamides and polyurethanes are dyed preferably at about 100 DEG C. for polyamides with disperse dyes of general formula <FORM:1071473/D1-D2/1> in which R is a cycloaliphatic radical or an aliphatic radical of 1-6 carbon atoms particularly an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl radical, X1 is a chlorine or bromine atom, X2 is hydrogen or a chlorine or bromine atom, Y is hydrogen or an alkyl group or alkoxy group of 1-4 carbon atoms, 2 is hydrogen, an alkyl group or alkoxy group of 1-4 carbon atoms, halogen, or a trifluoromethyl or acylamino group of 1-4 carbon atoms. R1 and R2 are unsubstituted or substituted alkyl groups (provided they are not both cyanoethyl groups) Yellow-orange shades are obtained.
