[Also in Division E1] A wall facing unit, comprising hollow ceramic elements joined together with a resinous sealing material 2 which fills only a part of each joint between adjacent elements, is formed by laying the elements face upwards in a mould with wooden strips separating the elements from each other and then pressing or pouring the sealing material into the joint. The sealing material may comprise a phenoplast, may be coloured, and may include a plasticizer and hardener.
