Abstract
1,066,531. Gas turbines. H. BACHL. March 12, 1965 [April 15, 1964], No. 10709/65. Headings F1G and F1T. In a fluid flow machine having at least one rotor stage provided with at least two non- interconnected fluid flow paths traversed by different or the same working media in a unidirectional manner in the axial sense and in opposite directions to one another in the radial sense, expansion is effected in the centripetal throughflow system and compression is effected in the centrifugal throughflow system. In a gas turbine plant, Fig. 6 (not shown), combustion gases and air pass through lines (3) and (4) respectively into independent flow passages in a common multi-stage rotor (5) having interstage guide elements. The rotor is driven by the combustion gases and thereby compresses the air which is delivered to the combustion chamber (2) via a preheater (7). The air is additionally heated by cooling the rotor.
