Abstract

A sampler e.g. bacteriological swab, spatula, forceps or needle, is sealed inside and attached <PICT:1066031/C6-C7/1> <PICT:1066031/C6-C7/2> to a flexible bag, e.g. of polyethylene. As shown, a swab stick 1 is attached to bag 3 which has label 4 attached thereto. The bag and label may be provided with adhesive strips. In use the bag is slit and pulled back over the swab 2 and after the sample has been taken the bag 3 is slipped back over the swab 2 and sealed by making use of the adhesive strips on itself or on the label.
