Abstract
1,066,021. Carrying cases. EDWARD DOHERTY & SONS Ltd. and CINEX Ltd. Oct. 7, 1963 [Oct. 5, 1962], No. 37823/62. Heading A4G. [Also in Divisions B8 and G2] A camera or like article carrying case has a hinged closing flap or flaps and a cradle displaced in one direction by the insertion of the camera &c. and in the opposite direction by removal of the camera &c. from the case, the displacement of such means causing opening or closing of the flap or flaps upon removal and insertion. As shown, flaps having walls 6, 7 and 8 are hinged at 9. The cradle 12 urged upwardly by spring 13 receives the camera, not shown. Straps 14 are attached to the cradle and to plates 16 at 15, such that in the shown position of the cradle the flaps are open. Insertion of a camera depresses the cradle 12 to close the flaps. Openings (11) Fig. 2 (not shown) accommodate the pistol grip, not shown, of the camera. The flaps may have securing means for preventing unwanted displacement of the article from the case and the case may have a carrying strap.
