Coffee grounds or other infusion substances are confined between a pair of filter discs 5, 6 in the container of Fig. 1, of which the upper portion 1 serves to receive water. The container may be pressed from a transparent or translucent plastics, and may be received in an outer supporting vessel (Figs. 8 and 11, not shown) adapted to fit over a cup receiving the beverage. The outer vessel may be bottomless or have a perforated bottom.
