Abstract

1,063,626. Injection moulding of hand tool handles. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. June 25, 1964 [June 29, 1963], No. 26404/64. Headings B4K and B5A. A hand grip of polypropylene is injection moulded on to the wood or metal handle of a shovel, spade, fork or similar tool. The bond between the hand grip and handle may be improved by grooves on the handle. The hand grip may be of isotactic polypropylene, and 5-30% of an amorphous polyolefine e.g. polyisobutylene may be added.
