Abstract

1,063,567. Boat handling trailer. W. E. WALKER. Dec. 29, 1964 [Sept. 25, 1963], No. 37794/63. Heading B7A. A launching trailer for facilitating the launching and beaching of a small single chine boat (12), Fig. 1 (not shown), comprises two independent support brackets (13), (14) each of which has secured to it at (15) an outwardly projecting stub axle (16) carrying a wheel (17), and each is secured to a pair of flexible fabric straps (18) which pass under the boat and are connectable together by a spring (21). The brackets are shaped to fit the exterior of opposite sides of the boat at approximately its fore- and-aft centre of gravity. Further embodiments may support any shaped boat and all embodiments can be attached to, or removed from, the boat by a single person.
